Platform & Data Engineer

Build the foundation the product can trust. Own the cloud, database, data, deployment, and observability paths behind DSE's AI security systems.

This is a full-time W-2 employee role, 100% remote within the United States. The anticipated start date and final written offer depend on completion of DSE's current financing plan.

Platform ownership with clear terms.

Base salary: $140,000-$180,000 per year. Planned benefits include employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off; paid holidays; a 401(k); and remote-work equipment. Final plan details are provided before an accepted offer and begin when employment starts.

Make the foundation observable.

Cloud

Build reliable services

Design deployable cloud components, automation, and environment boundaries that can be operated without hidden manual steps.

Data

Own the data path

Model and operate databases, ingestion, transformations, lineage, retention, and recovery with explicit contracts.

Reliability

Instrument the system

Improve logs, metrics, alerts, performance, backups, and failure handling so runtime truth is easy to establish.

Boundaries

Protect tenant data

Partner with security and product engineering on least privilege, encryption, isolation, and auditable access paths.

Qualifications · capability first

What you bring to the platform.

Required

Production depth

  • Strong software, platform, data, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Production cloud and database experience.
  • Automation and infrastructure-as-code discipline.
  • Evidence of diagnosing and improving real operating systems.
  • US work authorization. No specific degree is required.
Preferred

Useful context

  • AWS, Python, SQL, and serverless-system experience.
  • Relational, document, and analytical data-store experience.
  • Data governance, lineage, or privacy-control experience.
  • Secure multi-tenant or regulated-environment experience.
