Engagement terms · disclosed up front

Success-based work, not employment.

This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement with success-based compensation and no guaranteed base salary or retainer. No employee benefits are provided. The qualifying revenue, rate, attribution rules, collection trigger, and payment timing are negotiated individually and documented in a written services agreement before work begins. Success-based compensation does not apply to securing or obtaining U.S. Government contracts where contingent fees are prohibited; any federal activity and compensation must be separately scoped in writing and comply with applicable procurement rules.

The work · first mile of revenue

Turn a market into qualified conversations.

This is an execution role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, hearing no, learning quickly, and keeping clean records.

01 · Targeting

Build the right call list

Research accounts and contacts across data engineering, data security, cybersecurity, AI security, AI governance, and adjacent federal or regulated markets. Prioritize buyers with a concrete problem DSE can credibly solve.

02 · Outreach

Call, write, and follow up

Run cold calling, targeted email, LinkedIn outreach, warm-introduction follow-up, and structured sequences. Use approved messaging and record every meaningful touch in the CRM.

03 · Qualification

Separate interest from fit

Confirm the buyer, problem, urgency, current environment, next step, and willingness to meet. Do not improvise technical claims, pricing, legal terms, or delivery commitments.

04 · Handoff

Book a useful discovery call

Schedule qualified discovery calls with the right DSE leadership or technical practitioner, provide concise context before the meeting, and keep follow-up moving after the call.

Meetings worth taking

Qualified meetings where the contact, need, timing, and next step are clear enough for a practitioner to prepare.

Learning

Market feedback

Clear notes on objections, language that resonates, offers buyers request, and segments that repeatedly show or lack fit.

Discipline

Clean handoffs

No lost follow-ups, ambiguous ownership, unsupported promises, or meetings booked without context.
